Imperium Pictures is a media company based in New York City, creating feature and short subject films, commercials & music videos.
Imperium Pictures works include Lonely Man Beer (“A short masterpiece!” – Sylvere Lotringer), a “deconstruction” of Martin Scorsese and Paul Schrader’s Taxi Driver; and the experiment in remix and surreal narrative, The Gent (2009), a collage of legends drawn from the improvisations of a pantheon of NYC icons, to create the story of “Cardero” – a “cut-up” of 1920s poet Harry Crosby and 1990s internet artist Josh Harris.
Imperium’s 2013 documentary series on magick, heralded the occult renaissance of early 2000s NYC – prefigured by their legendary 2010 ritual invocation of Pan, with late film director Ken Russell embodying notorious English occultist Aleister Crowley. Imperium is currently completing a film on pioneering rocket scientist / Thelemic occultist Jack Parsons.
