The Gent Portraits

The Gent is a “cut up” of ’90s dot-com millionaire Josh Harris and 1920s Lost Generation poet Harry Crosby. With little knowledge of the character or story, a group of New York luminaries draw upon memories and imagination to create a collage of legendary NYC events and characters. The Gent Portraits is a remix of the original film consisting of the cast’s unedited responses juxtaposed with footage of ’80s nightlife from Nelson Sullivan, Josh Harris’s Quiet party, solar activity, Operation Desert Storm, etc.

The Gent Portraits was an art installation in Anthony Haden-Guest’s 2015 exhibition, “The Last Party.”

Nice to see Genesis in there, as I haven’t met him in decades. Looks like a fascinating project.
